These terms apply specifically to the Page Journey app and take precedence over the general CodeCraftedApps terms of service for all matters related to this app. Where any difference exists between the two, these app-specific terms govern.
By downloading, installing, or using Page Journey, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Use of the App
Page Journey is provided for personal, non-commercial use as a private library tracker for audiobooks and ebooks. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
- Use the App to harass others or violate any applicable laws
- Misrepresent the App as your own work
iCloud Sync
Page Journey uses Apple's CloudKit private database to sync your library across devices signed into the same Apple ID. We have no access to this data. Sync availability, latency, and reliability depend on Apple's services and your iCloud account — the App's developer cannot guarantee uninterrupted sync.
Third-Party Services Triggered by Your Action
The App offers optional features that, when used, connect to third-party services on your behalf:
- Apple Books lookup: When you tap the lookup button, the App queries Apple's public iTunes Search API. The query contains only the search term you type.
- Open in Audible: When you tap "Open in Audible", the App hands an Audible URL to Safari. The App does not log in to or scrape Audible.
These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The App's developer is not responsible for their availability or behavior.
Accuracy of Data
Page Journey is a tracker for information you enter or import. Title spellings, release dates, narrator names, and other metadata are only as accurate as the source you used (the optional lookup helper or your own typing). The App does not guarantee that release-month-year values, ASINs, or any other field is current or correct.
Cover Art and User Content
If you add cover images by picking photos from your device, you represent that you have the right to use those images. The App stores them in your private iCloud database and never uploads them anywhere else.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Page Journey is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
The developers, publishers, and distributors of Page Journey are not liable for any damages, financial losses, lost reading progress, lost library data, or other consequences that may result from using this App, including but not limited to:
- iCloud sync delays, conflicts, or data loss
- Incorrect or outdated metadata from optional lookups
- Third-party service outages or changes (Apple Books search, Audible)
- Inability to recover deleted data
Apple App Store and License (EULA)
Your license to use this app is the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, together with these Terms. You acknowledge that: (a) these Terms are between you and CodeCraftedApps only, not Apple, and CodeCraftedApps — not Apple — is responsible for the app and its content; (b) Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app; (c) Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, or intellectual-property claims; and (d) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. In the event of a conflict, Apple's terms prevail for matters related to App Store distribution.
Beta Software
During the TestFlight beta period, the App may contain bugs, incomplete features, or behavior that changes between releases. By participating in the beta, you accept that the App is pre-release software and may not function as final-released software.
Acceptable and Lawful Use
You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you. You may not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that infringes the rights of others. CodeCraftedApps does not condone, and accepts no responsibility for, any illegal or improper use of the App.
Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CodeCraftedApps and Don Castle from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use or misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Nevada, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
