One click away
Nabbit lives in your menu bar and shows the most recent files from your Desktop and Downloads, newest first. Open it with a click or a global keyboard shortcut you choose, then drag what you need straight into any app.
Your newest files, one click from the menu bar.
Grab the latest screenshot, download, or document and drag it into any app — no digging through Finder. Everything stays on your Mac.
Coming soon to the Mac App Store
A tiny menu-bar helper that respects your files and your privacy.
Nabbit lives in your menu bar and shows the most recent files from your Desktop and Downloads, newest first. Open it with a click or a global keyboard shortcut you choose, then drag what you need straight into any app.
A normal drag always makes a copy — your original never moves or changes. The one exception is dragging a file to the Trash, which deletes it, just like Finder. Nabbit makes no other changes to your files.
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no servers. Nabbit only sees the folders you grant it, and your files never leave your Mac. Nothing to sign up for, nothing phoning home.
Everything you need to grab a quick file, at no cost.
Watches your Desktop and Downloads and lists the newest items first, so the screenshot you just took is right at the top.
Drag files straight into Mail, Slack, your editor, a web upload — anywhere that accepts a file. Quick Look any item with the spacebar before you grab it.
Files you’ve dragged out dim with a checkmark so you can work through a long list in batches without losing your place. Clear one with a click, or clear them all at once.
Select and drag up to three files at once on the free tier, and drag any file to the Trash to delete it on the spot.
Adjustable row density, an optional modified date, launch at login, and a global shortcut you assign yourself.
A focused menu-bar dropdown that opens fast, stays out of your way, and never gets between you and your work.
A one-time $4.99 unlock — no subscription, ever.
Select and drag as many files as you like in a single grab. The free tier drags up to three.
Watch any folder you choose — projects, screenshots, a scratch folder — not just Desktop and Downloads.
Raise the five-item limit with a slider, up to fifteen newest items per folder.
Show only what you want — images, PDFs, code, or your own custom extensions.
Arrange your watched folders in the order that suits the way you work.
Pay once and it’s unlocked. Restore it on another Mac any time — handled entirely by the App Store.
Native, sandboxed, and lightweight.
Nabbit is a native macOS menu-bar app built with SwiftUI. It runs in the App Sandbox and reaches only the folders you explicitly grant, using the system’s security-scoped access. It requires macOS 26.5 or later.
